    • Collaborate with Sales to engage customers at the pre-sales stage to understand and establish the business and technical requirements
    • Working knowledge and able to do presentation of solution across a breadth of products such as data center and network
    • Provide pre-sales support in the design and development of technical solution and pricing to meet customer requirements
    • Able to engage third party providers and suppliers to obtain costs and work out pricing to quote to customers

Responsibilities

    Data Centres

    • Manages and operates Data Center. 
    • Responsible for structured cable installation at Data Center
    • Maintain the stock inventory item required for the cross connect; such as utp/fiber patch cord; utp/fiber panel; pig tail, multi core cable, fiber adapter, utp module, fiber module.
    • Responsible for the testers: UTP tester, fiber tester, OTDR.
    • Maintain office network, such as Firewall, Access Point, IP phone
    • Maintain Data Center Security and BMS network (CCTV, Card Access, TOU)
    • Manage the provisioning and maintenance of colocation network services such as DIA, IP Transit, EPL, IPLC

    Network Provisioning

    • Provides provisioning support and technical guidance for both new orders and existing circuits to ensure successful completion and smooth maintenance as required by customers
    • Performs end-to-end testing of fundamental circuits (DIA, EPL, EOSDH, LLC, IPLC, IPVPN, GPON, MPLS & BGP) for proper monitoring and evaluation of speed, connectivity, and quality.
    • Create and update network diagrams for all provisioning
    • Manages Service Completion Document for completed provisioned orders

    Network Planning and Operations

    • Manages, configures, operates and maintains the network equipment - DWDM, SDH, Metro-E, Switches & Routers (CISCO, Juniper, Extreme network), Carrier Ethernet (Raisecom)
    • Provides technical support, maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, configuration, system testing, and documentation of the circuits that has been provisioned
    • Manage AAG, BSCS and IRU capacity
    • Update capacity for network equipment and cross connect patch panel at data center 
    • Liaise and coordinate with vendors on troubleshooting network equipment which will include faulty equipment repairs and replacements (RMA)
    • Supervises vendor maintenance and implementation work
    • Work closely with vendor on the network expansion and improvement. This includes expansion projects and software bug patches

Requirements

    • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or Electronics Engineering
    • 3 - 5 years experience in network testing (layer 1/2/3 circuits), troubleshooting and configurations of network and network equipment 
    • Working knowledge of fiber optics, DWDM, routers, switches

    • Ensure all statutory regulations and codes are complied
    • Supervising of appointed Managing Agent
    • Ensure facilities contractor, managing agent and vendors carry out PPM as scheduled and to manage facilities contractor and vendors for any alarm or breakdown
    • Review submitted documents like Drawings, Permit-To-Work, Risk Assessments, Method Statements
    • Assess and verify equipment fault/ damage as claim by service vendor
    • Review and follow up on all incident reports, root cause analysis (RCA) or work improvement plan
    • Ensure work processes and procedures (SOP, MOP, EOP, PTW, RA) for all data center related M&E services are followed
    • Oversee and manage Work Order systems and ensure all planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance (RM) work orders are raised, inspected, completed and closed as scheduled
    • Prepare budgets for maintenance and replacement of all facility assets 
    • Support fit-out projects
    • Prepare monthly reports for customers and to meet customer KPIs and audits
    • Assist in the implementation of data center and company certifications
    • Maintain ISO 27001 process documents and records 
    • Ensure Data Centre operations meet energy & water efficiency criteria in compliance to Greenmark, ISO50001, SS564 certifications
    • Ensure data centre PUE is maintained for GM platinum status

Requirements

    • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent 
    • Minimum 5 years experience in data center facilities management and process
    • May be required to work on weekend or Public Holiday and has to be on 24x7 standby for any emergency call.

    • Proficient in handling day to day critical equipment operations and maintenance
